It is a truth that an unorganized education will always fail to produce individuals who can fight against the world forces of competition. The American public school system has produced many great individuals who have built their selves on the system and the American system of education. But this system also produces a high number of brainiacs who are attention seekers. Also, many destructive forces have influenced American institutions and have badly affected the quality of education. Many people think that the American educational system is the best in the world. I disagree. I believe that it is the best in the country, but not the best in the world.

During the time of the American public school system, different agendas were pushed on education. Many agendas were pushed on students and teachers. Then the educational program was handed over to the business community. Then some people thought that it would be a profit making machine and then entrepreneurs would run schools. Not so. The mission of education remains the same: to bring knowledge to all and prepare them for life and the society after college. What has changed is that the students are receiving much more attention from the teachers and they are conducted in a schedule of studies much earlier than in the American public school system. Perhaps they are more disciplined because of it.

On the other hand, what has improved is the behavior of students and the number of them who are on their way to be successful. In the United States, we have many gifted students who have participated in the United States of America. It is quite amazing to see such success in the country. So the system of education in the United States is clearly working. But we need to change our approach of learning from then on. We need to adapt it to the new trends of learning which is based on technology.

Therefore, what should be the future of education in the United States? It should be based on the concept of creating people who are creative and can think out of the box. The teacher should be the one who guides the student in the development of their uniqueness and personality. This uniqueness should be permanent. One who believes in this concept is Dr. Howard Gardner who teaches about multiple intelligences. They are dominant to some degree in every classroom. What matters most is the quality of the individual student’s mind and what he or she can comprehend with the teaching of the teachers.

If you want to speed up the learning process, then the teacher should debrief. After a lesson the teacher should ask questions to the students, to get their points. The teacher should then write these points in his or her lesson book. This keeps the students engaged and they learn more. The answer to the question should be rich in meaning. For example: How can a chicken have more than one reason for laying eggs? The teacher should ask such questions to all the students to ensure that all of them have understood the lesson. The teacher should be able to guide them in such a way that all of them can have a clear understanding of the lesson.

Such a teaching style is individualistic because the teacher must take into account the capabilities and learning styles of each student. The teacher must make sure that new information is being introduced to each student. It is not the task of the teacher to teach each student. The teacher must first help students to understand the new information and only then try to teach them. The teacher should expect that most students will try to help him/her if they sense that they can gain something from the lessons.

The teacher must also be prepared to handle the students’ emotions, because every student will have different emotional experiences in the course of the school year. It is impossible for the teacher to handle every emotional experience of each student. The teacher must be able to contain and control his/her emotions to deal with the students’ emotions. The teacher must be able to guide the students in words and phrases that are not offensive. Words and phrases must be presented in such a way that students will understand them easily. You must also be able to answer student queries to the class in a positive manner. Students must understand that their queries will not be solved unless their queries are solved.

For teaching in elementary school, you need to plan your lessons well. You need to plan the timing of the lessons and the resources on a daily basis. You also need to manage the differences between hours of the day. During the school session, if you want to teach a lesson at 9 o’clock, you must manage the time wisely.
